Pieters 2nd Annual Gala
We invite you to the 2nd annual gala fundraising event to support Pieter. An evening of community, live performance, drinks and light fare, celebrating nine years of Pieter!
Our goal this fall is to raise $5,000 to support Pieter's 2019 programming, which will include:
- Thirty weeks of free classes with artist-in-residence Marina Magalhães and her
community workshop and performance project, Dancing Diaspora, culminating in a weekend of workshops, performances, and panel discussions
- Oakland-based artist-in-residence Brontez Purnell Dance Company will present a week
of free performances, workshops and networking for LA and Bay Area dance artists
- Pieter Dancemakers Grant, which supports women choreographers over 40
- Affordable studio rentals
- Weekly workshops, classes, and performances by members of the Pieter community
Pieter provides a crucial home for Los Angeles dance community. We need your continued support not just survive but THRIVE. If you cant join us at the Gala, please donate to Pieter with any size contribution. Your giving substantially increases our ability to function and give back to you.
Pieter's Board and staff want you to know that 100% of the event's ticket sales, online auction income, and other sources of event revenue will go directly back into Pieter's programming. Our goal is to raise $5000 and our space can hold approximately 50 people so we've priced the tickets at $100.
A small but nimble arts organization, we hold just one public fundraising event a year where we ask our community to support us financially. This event helps keep Pieter's programming low-cost and free year-round! Every contribution matters and if you can't make the event or cannot purchase a ticket at this time, we will make wonderful use of gifts at every size!
